Local Purchasing Supervisor

Overview: As our Local Purchasing Supervisor, you will be the driving force behind our local procurement activities, ensuring optimal inventory levels, cost-effectiveness, and seamless integration with our broader supply chain. You will lead a critical function, playing a pivotal role in our continued growth and operational excellence. Responsibilities: Strategize and Execute: Develop and implement robust local purchasing strategies aligned with organizational goals, focusing on cost reduction and quality assurance.

Vendor Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with local suppliers, negotiating favorable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules.

Procurement Oversight: Manage the entire local procurement lifecycle, from requisition to delivery, ensuring compliance with company policies and ethical standards.

Inventory Optimization: Collaborate with logistics and operations teams to forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and prevent stockouts or overstock situations.

Team Leadership: Potentially guide and mentor junior purchasing staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.

Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve any purchasing-related issues, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted operations.

Experience: A minimum of 5-8 years of progressive experience in purchasing, procurement, logistics, or supply chain management, preferably in a supervisory or leadership capacity. Manufacturing background is a MUST

Proven track record in Purchasing and Supply Chain Optimization .

Exceptional abilities in Vendor Management and Negotiation .

Strong understanding of Inventory Control and Operational Efficiency principles.
