Job Purpose: Lead the estimation and tendering functions and ensure accurate, competitive, and commercially sound cost estimates for construction projects and tenders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation and review of project cost estimates and tenders.
  • Analyze drawings, specifications, BOQs, scope of work, and contractual requirements.
  • Develop accurate quantities, rates, labor, material, equipment, subcontractor, and indirect cost estimates.
  • Coordinate with Civil, Architectural, MEP, Procurement, and Commercial teams.
  • Obtain and evaluate supplier/subcontractor quotations.
  • Develop tender budgets and cost breakdowns.
  • Conduct market analysis and benchmark material and subcontractor prices.
  • Identify commercial risks, exclusions, assumptions, and opportunities.
  • Review tender submissions and ensure accuracy before final submission.
  • Maintain estimation databases, historical costs, and pricing benchmarks.
  • Lead and develop the estimation team.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 15-20 years of construction estimation experience.
  • Strong experience in major construction tenders and projects.
  • Excellent knowledge of BOQs, quantity take-offs, construction methods, and cost estimation.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor pricing.
  • Experience with Estimation tools.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and commercial skills.
