Tour Guide

Role Summary

We are looking for a confident, engaging, and knowledgeable Tour Guide to lead clients on memorable tours and experiences across Abuja. The ideal candidate should know Abuja well and be able to bring destinations, history, culture, and experiences to life through great storytelling.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate tours across Abuja and surrounding attractions. Provide interesting information on Abuja’s history, culture, landmarks, lifestyle, and hidden gems. Engage guests through excellent storytelling, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ensure clients have a safe, enjoyable, and memorable experience. Manage tour schedules, itineraries, and client expectations. Answer guests’ questions and provide helpful recommendations. Represent the company professionally and maintain excellent customer service. Handle unexpected situations calmly and professionally.

Requirements

Strong knowledge of Abuja and its major attractions, restaurants, cultural sites, recreational spots, and hidden gems. Must have lived in or spent considerable time in Abuja and understand the city beyond the usual tourist locations. Excellent storytelling and communication skills. Confident, friendly, energetic, and comfortable speaking to individuals or groups. Presentable and well-groomed, with a professional appearance. Strong customer service and people skills. Good organisational and time-management skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays when required. Previous experience as a tour guide, hospitality professional, travel consultant, event host, or similar role is an advantage.

Ideal Candidate:

Someone who can take a guest around Abuja and make them feel like they are experiencing the city through the eyes of a local, not just following an itinerary.
