Join our finance team as an Assistant Accountant, where you will support core finance operations including financial reporting, project cost tracking, and month-end close activities. This role collaborates closely with the Finance Manager and Global Finance team to ensure accurate reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and effective cost control across projects.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure accuracy of financial records and reporting.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Prepare and process accounts receivable activities, including invoicing and credit notes.
  • Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies as needed.
  • Monitor and track project costs against approved budgets.
  • Conduct weekly and monthly analysis of project expenses and margins.
  • Support financial reporting requirements and respond to internal and external information requests.
  • Assist with audit preparation and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
  • Review financial data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the Finance team as required.
  • Assist with management reporting and ad hoc financial analysis.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Finance Manager or Global Finance leadership.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Part-qualified ACCA or CIMA (or actively pursuing certification).
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of relevant accounting or finance experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting project accounting or cost tracking is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Organized and process-driven with strong follow-through.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
