Java Consultant

Key responsibilities include the following :

• Develop software code as per the solution architecture and design
• Provide level 3 support to troubleshoot and resolve application related issues and manage change requests. Manage change requests.
• Support System Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing
• Coordinate production fixes
• Application performance testing, benchmarking and tuning
• Lead Continuity of Business testing and DR activities as needed
• Review application and database logs/ reports and proactively address any issues that may impact application stability
• Problem ticket resolution and change management

Qualifications :

• 2 + experience in application development and support using J2EE, database technologies
• Must have experience with AML monitoring standards, processes and technologies in a large financial services organization
• Must have thorough knowledge of end-to-end SDLC process
• Hands-on experience with Oracle databases and very strong in troubleshooting and SQL query optimization techniques
• Experience with SQL, ETL and Data warehousing tools
• Good team player interested in sharing knowledge and cross-training other team members and shows interest in learning new technologies and products
• Experience with Linux, UNIX and MS Windows application deployment platforms
• Strong communications skills
