Lab Coordinator

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Biomedical Science, Medical Laboratory Technology, Biochemistry, or a related life science field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a clinical, molecular, diagnostic, or research laboratory. Experience in laboratory coordination or quality management is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of laboratory operations, quality management systems, biosafety, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience in molecular biology techniques (e.g., DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, qPCR, or NGS workflow) is preferred.
• Strong scientific writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); Familiarity with LIMS or laboratory information systems is an advantage.
• Proficient in English, both written and verbal.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily laboratory activities, coordinate staff, and ensure timely, accurate sample processing with backup support when required.
• Monitor laboratory safety, biosafety, contamination control, and waste management while ensuring compliance with environmental and safety standards.
• Develop, review, and maintain clear, effective, and well-written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Process and maintain documentation required for laboratory licensing, regulatory inspections, and compliance with government agencies and related organizations.
• Record, investigate, and report non-conformities in accordance with company documentation standards.
• Correspond with external parties regarding technical requirements, documentation, data, and project coordination.
• Ensure the scientific content of laboratory reports, products, and related materials is accurate, evidence-based, and aligned with current scientific standards.
• Coordinate cross-functional activities between laboratory operations, product development, internal research teams, and external collaborators.
• Support the development, validation, and continuous improvement of new laboratory tests, products, and workflows, including contributing to research studies where applicable.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support laboratory operations and research & product development objectives.
