Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee plumbing and sanitary engineering operations, ensuring project delivery, regulatory compliance, and business growth.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily plumbing and sanitary engineering operations to ensure efficient project execution and business continuity
- Manage project planning, budgeting, manpower allocation, and monitor operational performance to meet targets
- Supervise project managers, engineers, supervisors, and site teams to maintain quality and productivity standards
- Ensure compliance with PUB, BCA, MOM, and other relevant Singapore regulatory requirements to uphold safety and legal standards
- Provide technical guidance on plumbing and sanitary installations, inspections, and testing to resolve technical issues and ensure quality
- Coordinate with main contractors, consultants, clients, and regulatory authorities to facilitate smooth project delivery
- Manage project costing, tender submissions, procurement, and contract administration to optimize financial outcomes
- Develop and implement business strategies to improve company productivity and profitability
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget to meet client expectations
- Lead business development initiatives and maintain strong client relationships to drive growth
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Relevant qualifications in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline
- Recognised Singapore Licensed Plumber qualification is an advantage
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in plumbing, sanitary engineering, or construction management
- Proven experience managing projects, manpower, and business operations
- Good knowledge of Singapore construction regulations and PUB requirements
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
