Job Summary Join our dynamic culinary team as a Part-Time Cheesesteak Cook / Griddle Operator! Philly Guys is a Houston-based pop-up specializing in authentic Philly cheesesteaks, fries, and house-made lemonade. We're looking for energetic team members who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and take pride in serving great food and providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities Prepare and cook cheesesteaks and other menu items on the griddle, ensuring quality and consistency Operate the griddle safely and efficiently, maintaining cleanliness and proper food handling procedures Assist in meal preparation, including slicing, assembling, and portioning ingredients Prepare onions and other toppings during service Toast hoagie rolls and assemble sandwiches Follow all food safety regulations and sanitation standards to ensure a safe dining experience Support kitchen team members with food preparation tasks and maintain an organized workspace Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage and rotation of ingredients Assist with event setup and breakdown Qualifications Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments preferred Knowledge of food handling, safety protocols, and sanitation practices Strong knife skills and proficiency in food preparation techniques Experience with cooking on a griddle or similar equipment is highly desirable Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards serving customers Work Environment: Outdoor events, markets, festivals, and pop-up locations throughout the Houston area.
