As a Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) in the Storage Products Group (SPG) engineering organization, you will lead and enable cross-functional product development execution for Solid-State Drive (SSD) programs. This role is responsible for driving disciplined program planning, schedule execution, readiness reviews, risk management, and stakeholder communication while following Micron’s Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) processes, phase-exit expectations, and program management operating mechanisms.

The successful candidate will operate with a high level of ownership and independence, partnering with engineering, operations, supply chain, validation, quality, procurement, business teams, and manufacturing partners across the global SSD NPI ecosystem. The role requires the ability to translate technical and operational dependencies into clear execution plans, hold teams accountable to commitments, and communicate program health, risks, issues, and decisions clearly to leadership and stakeholders.

In support of Micron’s AI transformation, this role is expected to use AI-enabled ways of working where appropriate to improve productivity, decision quality, program visibility, and execution discipline. The candidate should be comfortable applying approved AI tools, automation, analytics, and data-driven methods to summarize information, identify risks and dependencies, improve reporting efficiency, and enable faster, more consistent cross-functional decision-making.

Responsibilities and Tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Understanding and executing Micron’s SSD Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) processes
  • Lead SSD development activities, including schedule alignment, staging readiness, build coordination, and cross-functional follow-through
  • Hold engineering and partner teams accountable to committed schedules, boundary agreements, action closure, and phase-exit criteria
  • Drive alignment across local and global cross-functional teams to ensure technical, operational, manufacturing, and supply dependencies are identified, tracked, and resolved early
  • Lead integrated program reviews and provide accurate, current program health metrics covering schedule, risk, quality, cost, and delivery readiness
  • Coordinate build plans, material readiness, sample logistics, budgets, and execution priorities across development activities
  • Generate concise program status reports with inputs from cross-functional teams that communicate technical status, schedule, risks, issues, and mitigation plans to leadership and stakeholders
  • Drive execution discipline through issue escalation, decision tracking, change management, and closure of critical action items across the non-SSD hardware flow
  • Partner with SSD TPMs, process owners, site stakeholders, and functional leaders to continuously improve staging readiness, development workflows, and program management operating mechanisms
  • Demonstrate and model effective use of Micron’s AI tools, dashboards, continuous improvement and program management processes
  • Drive product DFMEA coordination across SSD functions and at the system level, ensuring risks and mitigation actions are visible and actively managed
  • Capture lessons learned and drive corrective actions that improve predictability, quality, and delivery performance across future programs
  • Integrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements.
  • Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one’s scope of work.

Education

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Electronics, Industrial Engineering, Management, or a related technical field, with relevant experience in program management, hardware development, system engineering, semiconductor manufacturing, or SSD product delivery

Experience and Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in technical program management, new product introduction, manufacturing readiness, or complex hardware/system development within semiconductor, storage, or related technology industries
  • Experience leading cross-functional hardware or semiconductor development programs with responsibility for schedules, milestones, risks, dependencies, readiness reviews, and leadership communication
  • Working knowledge of SSD product development and staging activities, or the ability to quickly ramp into SSD program support responsibilities
  • Demonstrated success working with internal and external cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, supply chain, quality, validation, procurement, manufacturing, and business functions
  • Strong understanding of hardware development processes, system-level integration, and execution control for mission-critical deliverables
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with engineering, management, and executive audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new domains quickly, manage ambiguity, influence without authority, and drive results with ownership, urgency, and sound judgment
  • Experience with program tracking and reporting tools such as Jira, Confluence, Power BI, Tableau, or similar dashboarding and workflow systems
  • Experience using AI tools, automation, or data-driven solutions to improve program execution, reporting, and team productivity
  • Preferred: experience in SSD, storage, semiconductor product development, or manufacturing/site execution environments with exposure to PLM, phase-exit reviews, build readiness governance, and customer qualification expectations
  • Ability to apply baseline digital fluency and role‑appropriate AI literacy to use AI‑enabled tools responsibly and effectively for research, analysis, content creation, problem‑solving, operational tasks, and achieving business outcomes
