Your Mission We are looking for a Localization Specialist on a temporary contract basis, running until the end of the year (with the possibility of extension) for a localisation project: English to Norwegian. The Localization Specialist plays a critical role in bridging the gap between our global product offerings and regional markets. This role ensures that our digital content, educational resources, and other materials are not just translated but truly localized to resonate with our audiences. You will ensure that every e-learning module, knowledge base article, and content asset feels native to the user, maintaining high standards for accuracy, tone, and accessibility across all digital touchpoints.

Core Responsibilities

  • Core Localization & Translation:

– Execute high-quality translations and localizations for primary languages. – Localize diverse content types, including e-learning, Knowledge Base articles, and high-impact customer communications (emails, guides).

  • AI & Workflow Innovation

– Leverage AI-driven tools and workflows to increase efficiency in translation and content adaptation while maintaining a "human-in-the-loop" approach for quality. – Ensure that AI-assisted content reflects the Mercell brand voice and local procurement nuances.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

– Act as an active collaborator within the Delivery Department to align localization needs with the broader content strategy. – Manage content review cycles, coordinating with product teams to ensure accuracy, and proactively revising localized materials based on internal feedback and product updates.

  • Technical Content & Quality:

– Ensure "in-platform" accuracy by creating mock tenders to capture correct labels and screenshots for educational materials. – Maintain accessibility standards by writing and auditing alternative texts for digital imagery.

  • Content Maintenance:

– Continuously update localized assets to reflect product developments, ensuring a seamless and consistent experience across all digital touchpoints and user-facing materials

Required Qualifications Linguistic Excellence: Native-level or C2 proficiency in Norwegian, with a deep understanding of local business nuances.

  • Digital Literacy: High proficiency in navigating SaaS platforms and content management tools.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to grammar, tone, and technical accuracy in a high-tempo environment.
  • Communication & Cooperation: Strong ability to coordinate between Product, Marketing, Customer Success, Support, and Delivery teams
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple localization streams and meet tight deadlines.
  • Fluent in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in localization, translation, or content management within a SaaS or international business environment. Experience within public procurement or regulated sectors is considered advantageous, but not required.
