Product Officer

Responsibilities: Product Development:

Take ownership of assigned products and features throughout the product development lifecycle. Translate user and business needs into clear product requirements and specifications. Contribute directly to the planning, development, improvement, and implementation of product features. Identify product gaps, usability issues, and opportunities for improvement. Document product requirements, workflows, features, and changes.

Technical Development:

Write, maintain, and improve code to support product development and functionality. Use Python for relevant development, automation, data processing, API, and backend-related tasks. Work with APIs, databases, integrations, and other relevant technologies. Investigate and troubleshoot technical and product-related issues. Collaborate with other developers where required and contribute to technical discussions and implementation.

Testing & Quality Assurance:

Test new features, updates, and product changes before deployment. Identify and document bugs, technical issues, and usability problems. Follow up on identified issues through to resolution. Conduct user testing and gather feedback to improve product functionality and user experience. Verify that implemented features meet the intended requirements.

Product Support & Improvement:

Monitor product performance and user feedback. Support users with product-related issues and escalate technical problems where necessary. Identify recurring user challenges and recommend practical improvements. Maintain accurate records of bugs, feature requests, updates, and outstanding product tasks. Contribute to the continuous improvement of Lextorah's digital products.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. 3–5 years of relevant experience in product development, software development, or a similar technical product role. Demonstrable experience contributing significantly to or owning the development of a digital product. Strong proficiency in Python is required. Ability to write, understand, test, and troubleshoot code. Experience working with APIs, databases, and software integrations. Understanding of software development and product development processes. Experience with testing and quality assurance. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and follow tasks through to completion. Experience with AI, EdTech, SaaS, or other digital platforms is an advantage.
