Accountabilities: The Software and Integration Architect will lead the design, development, and evolution of enterprise software and integration architecture. This role requires a balance of technical leadership, hands-on implementation, and collaboration across engineering and business teams.

Define and execute software and integration architecture strategies across enterprise systems, operational platforms, and product ecosystems.

Lead the architecture and development of custom applications supporting internal users and critical business operations.

Own the end-to-end integration landscape, establishing standards, patterns, and best practices for enterprise connectivity.

Design and implement cloud-native architectures using AWS services, microservices patterns, distributed systems, and modern application frameworks.

Develop backend services and integration components using technologies such as Python, AWS Lambda, MuleSoft, and related cloud-native solutions.

Guide the development of modern web applications, ensuring strong API design, performance, accessibility, and user experience.

Establish and advance AI-enabled software development practices, incorporating AI coding tools and automation into engineering workflows.

Build AI-powered developer tooling, including extensions and integrations that improve engineering productivity.

Manage cloud infrastructure lifecycle practices, including infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD automation, deployment strategies, and operational readiness.

Drive observability initiatives through monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting, and cloud cost optimization.

Create architecture documentation, technical roadmaps, and development plans while translating designs into actionable engineering work.

Mentor engineers, provide architectural guidance, and promote consistent software and integration standards across teams.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced software architect with deep expertise in cloud technologies, enterprise integrations, and scalable system design. They should be comfortable leading technical decisions while remaining hands-on with development.

10+ years of experience in software architecture, integration architecture, and ownership of large-scale distributed systems.

Expert-level AWS architecture experience, including production systems built with services such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS/DynamoDB, ECS/EKS, and Step Functions.

Strong proficiency in Python for application development, automation, and integration workflows, with experience in additional object-oriented languages preferred.

Experience designing and delivering modern web applications using current frontend frameworks such as React or similar technologies.

Proven experience building enterprise integrations using AWS and platforms such as MuleSoft.

Strong understanding of microservices architecture, API design, asynchronous messaging, resiliency, scalability, and service boundaries.

Experience with secure integration patterns, authentication, authorization, and data protection practices.

Demonstrated experience using AI development tools and workflows, with the ability to introduce AI-driven engineering practices within teams.

Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.

Experience building CI/CD pipelines, automated testing strategies, and safe deployment processes.

Knowledge of observability platforms, containerization technologies, and orchestration systems such as Docker, ECS, EKS, or Kubernetes.

Familiarity with event-driven architectures and messaging technologies such as Kafka, SNS/SQS, or EventBridge.

Ability to translate architectural concepts into actionable Agile development plans and technical priorities.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders.

AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification preferred.

MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect certification and SaaS, platform, or data-intensive environment experience are a plus.
