IPEX SOFT is a UK-based software company looking for a talented Full-Stack Web & Mobile Developer to join us remotely.

We are looking for a hands-on developer who can build complete web and mobile products - from understanding requirements and designing the solution to development, testing, deployment, and ongoing improvement.

You will work across React, Next.js, React Native, Node.js, APIs and databases , while also using modern AI development tools to accelerate delivery.

What You'll Do

  • Build modern web applications using React, Next.js and TypeScript.
  • Develop cross-platform iOS and Android applications using React Native.
  • Build secure back-end services and REST APIs using Node.js.
  • Design and work with relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Build authentication, authorisation and role-based access functionality.
  • Integrate third-party APIs, payment services and external platforms.
  • Integrate AI/LLM APIs into applications where appropriate.
  • Build dashboards, customer portals, SaaS products and internal business applications.
  • Take new ideas from prototype/MVP through to production.
  • Use AI coding tools to accelerate development, debugging, testing and refactoring.
  • Review and improve AI-generated code rather than accepting it blindly.
  • Write clean, modular and maintainable production code.
  • Debug front-end, back-end, mobile, database and deployment issues.
  • Apply appropriate security, validation and error-handling practices.
  • Work with Git/GitHub and participate in code reviews.
  • Deploy and troubleshoot applications in cloud environments.
  • Communicate progress and blockers clearly while working remotely.

AI-Assisted Development

AI-assisted development is an important part of this role. We want someone comfortable using tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Codex or similar AI coding assistants to work faster and solve problems effectively. However, AI should enhance your engineering ability — not replace it.

You must be able to understand the code you submit, identify incorrect or insecure AI-generated implementations, debug problems independently and explain the technical decisions behind your work. Experience integrating LLM APIs, AI agents, structured outputs, tool/function calling, RAG or AI-powered automation is a strong advantage.

Remote Working

This is a fully remote position for candidates based in Egypt , working with IPEX SOFT, a UK-based software company. You will be expected to maintain reliable availability during agreed working hours, attend scheduled online meetings, provide regular progress updates and communicate blockers promptly. We value quality, ownership, communication and measurable delivery rather than simply being online.

Selection Process

Shortlisted candidates will complete a small practical technical assessment before progressing to the technical interview. You may use AI development tools during the assessment. We are interested in how effectively you use them, but you must understand and be able to explain everything you submit. Successful candidates will then attend a technical interview focused primarily on their implementation, engineering decisions and previous real-world development experience.

Required Technical Skills

2+ years of practical full-stack development experience with strong knowledge of most of the following:

Web

  • JavaScript and TypeScript
  • React.js
  • Next.js
  • HTML5 and CSS
  • Responsive UI development
  • State management
  • Tailwind CSS or similar UI frameworks

Mobile

  • React Native
  • Expo and/or React Native CLI
  • iOS and Android development
  • Mobile navigation and state management
  • REST API integration
  • Authentication and secure session handling
  • Local storage and device capabilities
  • Experience publishing applications to the Apple App Store and Google Play is an advantage.

Back End

  • Node.js
  • Express.js and/or Next.js server-side development
  • REST API design and development
  • Authentication and authorisation
  • Role-based access control
  • Input validation and error handling
  • Third-party API integrations

Databases

  • PostgreSQL and/or MySQL
  • MongoDB or similar NoSQL databases
  • Database and schema design
  • Data modelling and relationships
  • SQL
  • Indexing and query optimisation
  • Experience with Prisma or another modern ORM is desirable.

Engineering Fundamentals

You should have a practical understanding of:

  • Clean and maintainable code
  • Modular software design
  • Git and GitHub
  • Debugging and testing
  • Code reviews
  • Application architecture
  • API and database security
  • Authentication and authorisation
  • Data isolation
  • Performance and scalability
  • Secure handling of application secrets and user data

You do not need to be a senior software architect, but you should be able to make sensible technical decisions and explain the trade-offs behind them.

AI Development Skills

You should be comfortable using modern AI development tools such as:

  • Claude Code
  • Codex
  • GitHub Copilot
  • Similar AI coding assistants
  • Experience integrating AI/LLM APIs into real applications is highly desirable.

Cloud & Deployment

Experience with some of the following is desirable:

  • AWS
  • Vercel
  • Supabase
  • Firebase
  • Docker
  • CI/CD
  • Linux
  • Cloud databases

  • Communicates problems and blockers early.
  • Is reliable and accountable when working remotely.
  • Is comfortable learning new technologies when a project requires them.
  • Is interested in developing a long-term working relationship with IPEX SOFT.
