Electrician

Job Summary As an Electrician, you'll install, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings. You'll read schematics and blueprints, diagnose faults, and complete electrical work in line with the National Electrical Code (NEC), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 70, and applicable local electrical codes. This role suits someone who works carefully, follows safety procedures, and enjoys solving practical challenges. Duties Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, low-voltage systems, and high-voltage wiring in commercial and industrial environments. Read electrical schematics and blueprints to plan work, identify components, and complete installations or renovations. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical systems using a voltmeter, ohmmeter, hand tools, and power tools. Inspect completed work, follow electrical safety procedures, and verify compliance with NFPA 70, NEC, and local codes. Work with industrial electrical systems and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) as needed. Skills Electrical experience, including industrial electrician or commercial electrician experience, is relevant to this role. Knowledge of electrical systems, electrical wiring, commercial electrical systems, and industrial electrical systems. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, voltmeters, ohmmeters, and programmable logic controllers. Construction site experience, construction experience, renovation, or handyman experience is helpful; understanding of electrical safety procedures and applicable codes is essential.
