Hybrid model of working

Fixed-term contract for 18 months

Main Job Purpose:

Responsibility for transportation order planning.

Key Responsibilities:

Transport orders planning, cost checking, spot offers negotiation, on-time checking, updating system, e-mail/call responding

Cost and Service monitoring and improvement activities

Performance monitoring (cost, payload rate and demurrages)

Lead cost/service improvement projects (intermodal, ambient, direct delivery, GPS implementation, system improvement…)

Carriers claims validation

Initiate and follow through re-tendering and carrier performance management

Carrier recharging

Typical Activities:

Transport order planning, cost checking, spot offer nego, OT checking, updating system, e-mail/call responding

Daily transport planning in TMS and order processing (~80% are automated / semi-automated)

Shipments follow-up and monitoring + communication to SC stakeholders when required

Daily coordination with factories, suppliers and carriers

Daily planning of dedicated fleet

Spot market shipment carrier scouting and cost negotiation

Payload improvement though orders combination

So, what does it take to be successful in this role?

ESSENTIAL

University degree

PREFERRED

Science, Engineering or Economics degree, ideally with a Logistics or Supply Chain element

Supply Chain and/or Logistics experience in FMCG or other relevant industry (Retailer or 3PL environment)
