Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated, independent, and hands-on Accounts and Finance Assistant Manager to join our team. This role is a strategic hiring milestone for our business. If you are a high-performing Senior Accountant or Assistant Manager looking to step up into a full Finance Manager role within 18 to 24 months, this position offers autonomy, direct visibility to leadership, and structured pathway you need to get there.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Financial Management & Control (Full Sets)
  • Month-End Closing: Liaising with different stakeholders within the group and taking full ownership of the end-to-end closing process, within the given dateline
  • Check and maintain accurate data into the general ledger. Monitor and checking of profit and loss balance sheet items through preparation of timely monthly schedules.
  • Cash Flow Optimization: Build and maintain rolling 13-week cash flow forecasts to optimize working capital and manage accounts receivable/payable.
  • System Ownership: Continuously review current accounting workflows, driving digital process automation (e.g., cloud accounting integrations) to streamline data entry.
  • Reporting: Preparation and submission of ad-hoc, monthly and quarterly reports needed by management, holding company and minority shareholders
  1. Budget
  • Preparation and submission of yearly budget
  • Explanation of budget queries from management and holding company
  • Monitoring of budget vs actual results on a monthly and yearly basis, including detailed explanation of variances
  1. Audit Management & Financial Reporting
  • Audit Readiness: Act as the sole point of contact for external auditors; draft statutory financial statements in compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS).
  • Problem Resolution: Proactively resolve audit queries and compile all required supporting schedules independently.
  1. Tax Filing
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare, review, and fi le quarterly Goods and Services Tax (GST returns directly to IRAS.
  • Tax Filing Prep: Working with tax agents to coordinate corporate tax computations, including the timely filing of Estimated Chargeable Income (ECI) and corporate tax returns (Form C-S).
  • Group taxation issues: Liaising with holding company tax department and tax agent on group taxation issues i.e. TPD
  1. Corporate Secretarial & Regulatory Administration (working with Corporate Secretary)
  • ACRA Compliance: Handle corporate compliance obligations independently via BizFile+, including the filing of Annual Returns.
  • Statutory Records: Maintain up-to-date statutory registers, including the Register of Registrable Controllers (RORC).
  • Board Governance: Draft board resolutions (e.g., changes to bank mandates, dividend declarations) and compile documentation for the Annual General Meeting (AGM).
  • Preparation of AGM material for management
  1. Any Other Duties
  • New company: Involve in setting up of new company, including accounting system, budgeting, manpower cost (FTE), bank account, GST registration etc. if needed
  • Any other duties: Assisting with any other duties as assigned by the Management

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCES:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) Singapore, ISCA, ACCA, or CPA equivalent.
  • Experience: 4 to 6 years of total accounting experience. A baseline configuration of 2–3 years in a mid-tier audit firm followed by 2 years in a commercial role is highly preferred.
  • Compliance Knowledge: Proven, hands-on experience handling ACRA BizFile+ lodgments and navigating IRAS platforms independently.
  • Software Skills: High proficiency in cloud accounting ecosystems (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks) and advanced MS Excel.
  • Attributes: Exceptional attention to detail, high ethical standards, and a strong ambition to transition from execution to strategic financial leadership.

Mon to Fri, 8:30am to 5:30pm
