Carpenter

Responsibilities:

Construct, assemble, and install a wide range of wooden furniture, including wardrobes, cabinets, beds, tables, chairs, shelves, office furniture, and other custom-made fittings.

Interpret furniture drawings, sketches, blueprints, and specifications accurately.

Measure, mark, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials using hand and power tools.

Install furniture and wooden fixtures at designated locations.

Repair damaged furniture and wooden structures to restore them to excellent condition.

Carry out furniture modifications and renovations as required.

Sand, polish, laminate, varnish, stain, and finish furniture to achieve a professional appearance.

Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality, safety, and design standards.

Estimate material requirements and minimize wastage during production.

Ensure proper use, maintenance, and storage of carpentry tools and machinery.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment.

Collaborate with supervisors and other team members to complete projects within specified timelines.

Report damaged equipment, material shortages, and maintenance needs promptly.

Perform any other carpentry-related duties assigned by management.

Requirements:

Minimum of an S.S.C.E 2 years of previous experience in a similar role
