Your tasks

PADAH LNG TERMINAL EXPANSION PROJECT Senior Engineering Leadership, Construction, Installation, Testing & Commissioning

Project: Padah LNG Terminal — 5.7 MMTPA Expansion Project

In anticipation of the full award of the Padah LNG instrumentation installation package, ERL is preparing a dedicated team for installation, inspection, testing, pre-commissioning, systems integration, commissioning and handover.

Our philosophy: Build to specification. Inspect before release. Test before acceptance. Document every activity. Close every punch item. Deliver a complete, verifiable installation.

2. ANTICIPATED PROJECT SCOPE Execution will be governed by the awarded BOQ, approved drawings, specifications, material schedules and procedures. Subject to the final contract, activities include:

A. Instrumentation Installation & Hook-Up

  • Mounting, alignment, tagging and installation of instruments, transmitters, switches, gauges and accessories.
  • Installation of brackets, manifolds, supports, junction boxes and local panels.
  • Instrument hook-ups, impulse lines, SS316 tubing and pneumatic connections.
  • Verification of instrument tags, orientation, process connections, clearances and data sheets.

B. Cable Installation & Termination

  • Cable trays, ladders, supports and accessories where specified.
  • Cable pulling, laying, dressing, segregation, tagging and securing.
  • Glanding, ferruling and termination at instruments, junction boxes, marshalling cabinets and control panels.
  • Earthing, bonding, shielding, continuity and insulation-resistance testing.

C. Calibration & Loop Verification

  • Bench/field calibration using suitable calibrated reference equipment.
  • Range, zero, span, alarm and output verification.
  • HART configuration, as-found/as-left records and calibration traceability.
  • Point-to-point checks, loop checks, signal verification and end-to-end functional testing.

D. Tubing & Pneumatic Works

  • Instrument air tubing, impulse lines, supports and fittings.
  • Tube cutting, bending, fitting assembly and installation to approved drawings.
  • Inspection of routing, supports, connections and mechanical protection.
  • Leak, pressure and cleanliness testing where specified.

E. Systems Integration & Commissioning

  • DCS, PLC, ESD and F&G interface verification.
  • I/O checks, marshalling, communications, alarm and functional testing.
  • Cause & Effect, interlock and voting-logic validation where applicable.
  • Integrated testing, SAT, OEM coordination and commissioning support.

Safety-system changes, bypasses and overrides must be performed only by authorised personnel under approved procedures.

Where included in the awarded scope

  • Detector installation, alignment, calibration and functional testing.
  • F&G panel interfaces, alarms, voting logic and Cause & Effect verification.
  • Suppression release circuits and associated field-device testing.
  • Approved discharge, inhibit and shutdown interface tests.

Mechanical suppression equipment, cylinder banks, pressure piping and discharge nozzles will be included only where contractually confirmed.

G. Pre-Commissioning & Handover

  • Installation inspections, work-pack completion and test-pack preparation.
  • Calibration, cable testing, loop folders and system completion records.
  • Punch-list classification, tracking and closure.
  • Red-line drawings, as-builts, calibration certificates and handover dossiers.
  • Client inspections, SAT, final acceptance and formal turnover.

The team must

  1. Reconcile assigned quantities against the BOQ, instrument index, cable schedules and approved drawings.
  2. Develop work packs and installation sequences for defined areas and systems.
  3. Establish productivity targets for installation, tubing, cabling, termination, calibration and testing.
  4. Track daily quantities, cumulative progress, outstanding work and forecast completion.
  5. Coordinate materials, permits, tools, equipment and work-front readiness.
  6. Raise design discrepancies, shortages and scope changes through approved procedures.
  7. Maintain traceable inspection and test records against tags, cables and equipment.
  8. Ensure all completed work is inspected, tested, documented and formally released.

Physical installation alone does not constitute completion. Inspection, testing, documentation, acceptance and turnover are integral to delivery.

5. TECHNICAL WORKFORCE Additional recruitment will cover instrumentation technicians/fitters, cable-pulling and termination technicians, electrical/control technicians, tubing and hook-up technicians, calibration and loop-check technicians, F&G technicians, QA/QC inspectors, HSE officers, material controllers, storekeepers, document controllers, assistants and other approved trades.

Final headcount, shift allocation and crew composition will follow the awarded BOQ, work fronts, productivity assumptions, schedule and commissioning sequence.

9. HSE, QUALITY & INTEGRITY All personnel must comply with permits, risk assessments, isolation procedures, PPE, environmental controls, inspection requirements and client rules. Safety takes precedence over production targets. Falsification of calibration, inspection or test records is unacceptable. Restricted work and safety-system modifications require authorised personnel.
