Commercial Manager
Marine Industry Position Overview Our client is a leading company within the Marine & Offshore industry, providing products, equipment and/or services to shipowners, ship managers, shipyards and offshore operators. They are looking for an experienced Commercial Manager to lead commercial activities, develop new business opportunities, strengthen existing customer relationships and drive revenue growth across the marine market. The ideal candidate will have strong commercial experience within the shipping, marine, offshore, shipyard or marine equipment sector, with a proven ability to identify opportunities, negotiate contracts and build long-term relationships with key industry stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute commercial strategies to achieve revenue and business growth targets. Identify and develop new business opportunities within the marine, shipping and offshore markets. Build and maintain strong relationships with shipowners, ship managers, shipyards, fleet operators and other key industry stakeholders. Manage existing key accounts and identify opportunities for account growth and cross-selling. Lead the preparation of commercial proposals, quotations, tenders and sales presentations. Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, contracts and agreements with customers and business partners. Monitor market trends, competitor activities and customer requirements to identify new business opportunities. Work closely with Sales, Operations, Technical and Project teams to ensure commercial commitments can be delivered effectively. Manage the sales pipeline, forecasting and commercial reporting. Review commercial performance, margins and profitability of projects, contracts and customer accounts. Develop and maintain a strong network within the maritime and offshore industry. Attend industry conferences, exhibitions, networking events and customer meetings to generate new opportunities. Support the development of strategic partnerships with suppliers, shipyards, service providers and other industry partners. Lead commercial negotiations for new projects, service contracts and long-term agreements. Ensure commercial activities are aligned with company policies, contractual requirements and business objectives. Provide regular updates to senior management on sales performance, pipeline development, market opportunities and commercial risks. Requirements Degree or Diploma in Business, Maritime Studies, Engineering, Shipping, Logistics or a related discipline. Minimum 5 years of commercial, business development or sales experience within the Marine, Shipping, Offshore or Maritime industry.
