We are looking for a confident, compassionate and dedicated Support Worker with a passion for delivering outstanding care to join our team at our new service to open in early 2027, Cygnet Afon Las. Cygnet Afon Las is a brand-new service scheduled to open in early 2027. Located in Corwen, Denbighshire, the hospital will provide a 15-bed neurocognitive service for men, delivering specialist care and support for individuals with complex needs. The service will accept referrals from the community, as well as from neurosurgical and neurorehabilitation services, offering a clear pathway for assessment, treatment and recovery. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: · Offering enhanced care using a flexible, person-centred approach · Providing guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support · Learning about each individual’s specific needs and supporting them in the most appropriate way · Assisting with medical and welfare needs · Reporting on medical and welfare needs as re quired · Supporting safeguarding practices and maintaining professional boundaries · Maintaining a safe, clean and therapeutic environment for all · Encouraging independence, confidence and positive daily routines · Supporting people to work towards personal goals and community involvement · Working closely with colleagues, nurses and wider professionals to deliver outstanding care What We’re Looking For: We are looking for someone who is caring, reliable and committed to making a difference. · Genuinely driven with a desire to improve people’s lives · A confident and compassionate communicator · A good team player · Sensitive, intuitive and respectful · Energetic and motivated to provide a trusting, stimulating and varied environment · Passionate about empowering people and supporting independence · Able to work positively with people with mental health conditions and complex needs · Able to drive due to the location of the service Previous experience in care, men tal health, support work, healthcare or residential services can be helpful, but your values, attitude and commitment to outstanding care are just as important.
