Materials Planner

Job Purpose To plan materials required for production and prototype builds, coordinate and communicate detailed production planning and material requirements. Ensures goods manufactured are produced in a cost-effective way that meets quality specifications. Responsibilities & Duties Working from blueprint to determine the raw materials needed to produce the products Prepare and maintain material schedule Prepare documents needed for production Prioritizes job-orders for production optimization Tracks the progress of goods as they are being manufactured to ensure they remain on schedule Provide material order administration support Work to get production problems resolved and involve others in problem solving Liaise with sales division to determine customer requirements Predicts how long a project will take to complete Develops a production schedule detailing all tasks and when they should be completed by to meet predicted completion date Monitor project's progress to ensure it's following the schedule
