Job Description

The Software Engineer isresponsible to develop software based on design requirements and ensuresoftware and subroutines are working to specification, program codes haveconformed to standards and are delivered with quality meeting schedule andrequirements.

Responsibilities

Project Delivery

• Analyse process/programspecifications & translate specifications to program codes, conforming toprogram guidelines and programming best practices
• Make changes to configurableitems, which include hardware, software, documentation, etc. It coversconfiguration management planning, configuration identification, configurationcontrols & audits
• Develop unit test package,execute tests & document test results to ensure the quality of the program
• Assist in the integrationtesting, system testing, User Acceptance Test (UAT) & implementationactivities to fix the reported problems/bugs of the system to ensure the smoothexecution of programs in the production environment
• Investigate all reportedproblems/errors & initiate amendments & testing so that the system canoperate correctly & efficiently
• Prepare & maintainup-to-date system documentation.
• Analyse functional requirementsto translate into application design using established design methodologies andguidelines
• Ensure codes comply with NCSsecurity guidelines

Teamwork

• Work with team lead to ensuredesign and programme codes conform to architecture and design standards, andthat design satisfies functional and system requirements
• Participate in requirementsgathering; work with Business Analysts in reviewing and refining functionalspecifications
• Participate in peer reviews toimprove project quality

Qualifications

Requirement

• 2-4 years of working experiencein developing and delivering application software
• Possess relevant systemdevelopment / maintenance experience using .NET-related technologies
• Possess initiative anddisposition with a strong commitment and orientation towards results and highquality standards
• Strong problem-solving skillsand ability to think out of the box
• Team player with strongcommunication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivator with a positiveattitude and with high energy
• Customer focused
• Proficient in written andspoken English
• Diploma / Degree in ComputerScience / Computer Engineering / Information Technology related field, or ITequivalent
• Able to travel as requiredd collaborative work environment, alongside a strong career progression.
