O2C Accountant

Job purpose

As an O2C accountant in Group Finance Shared Service Centre (FSSC), you will focus on supporting the day-to-day activities of the O2C function whilst complying with the organizationu2019s policies and procedures and ensuring necessary checks and balances to mitigate risks.

Role description

Timely O2C partnering support to business in day-to-day operations.

Customer analysis and reconciliation.

Receiving customeru2019s cheques and matching them regarding amount and date.

Analyse ledgers and accounts to allow the reconciliation of financial data according to stated schedules so that the company remains aware of its financial position on an ongoing basis and statutory reports can be produced within legislative time limits.

Maintain detailed records of customer accounts, including outstanding balances and payment history.

Perform assigned month-end book closing tasks within O2C.

Review and post O2C related entries.

Any other relevant activities assigned from time to time.

What equips you for the role

Minimum qualifications and knowledge

Finance graduate or equivalent qualifications.

Good accounting knowledge (IFRS knowledge is preferred).

Analytical as well as process oriented.

Excellent communication skills.

Prior working knowledge in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, YARDI, AS400, etc.).

Knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office tools.

Detail-oriented and organized.

Minimum experience

1-2 years similar experience, with a good knowledge of ERP systems.
