Scope of Work – Graphic Designer & Marketing Assistant

Department: Marketing

  1. Working Hours

The employee’s standard working schedule shall be Monday to Friday. 35 hrs per week. Flexible working hours with options to work from home once a week.

The employee is required to work on-site at the restaurant during her scheduled working hours unless otherwise instructed by management.

Management may, at its sole discretion, approve remote work on specific days if the employee’s physical presence at the restaurant is not required.

The employee shall observe the lunch break in accordance with the company’s policies and operational requirements.

  1. Position Purpose

The Graphic Designer & Marketing Assistant is a member of the Marketing Department and is responsible for producing creative visual materials that strengthen the company’s branding, marketing campaigns, promotional activities, and online presence.

The employee’s duties are focused exclusively on creative and marketing-related work.

  1. Key Responsibilities

A. Graphic Design

The employee shall:

  • Design promotional materials for marketing campaigns.
  • Create artwork for standees, outdoor banners, posters, restaurant façade graphics, menu promotions, and other printed materials.
  • Design digital creatives for social media, websites, online advertising, email campaigns, websites, and other digital platforms.
  • Transform marketing concepts and promotional ideas provided by management into professional visual designs.
  • Ensure all creative materials comply with the company’s branding guidelines.
  • Prepare artwork for both print and digital distribution.
  • Edit and enhance marketing graphics where required.

B. Photography

The employee shall:

  • Photograph food and beverages.
  • Photograph the restaurant’s interior and exterior.
  • Photograph promotional activities, products, staff, and marketing content.
  • Edit and retouch photographs where required.
  • Prepare photography assets for print and digital marketing.

C. Marketing Support

The employee shall:

  • Collaborate with management and the Marketing Department to develop creative materials for campaigns and promotional activities.
  • Produce visual content for seasonal campaigns, advertisements, branding initiatives, and marketing communications.
  • Maintain consistency across all visual branding and marketing materials.

D. Video Production Support

The employee may occasionally be requested to provide on-site support to the company’s videography team during video productions.

Such support may include:

  • Assisting during filming sessions.
  • Preparing shooting locations.
  • Arranging products, props, or promotional materials for filming.
  • Providing general assistance during video shoots.

The employee’s role is strictly limited to on-site production support.

All video editing and post-production responsibilities remain solely with the designated videography team.

E. Email Administration

The employee shall:

  • Monitor the company’s general email inbox.
  • Review incoming customer enquiries and correspondence.
  • Forward emails to the appropriate departments or stakeholders.
  • Maintain professional communication standards.

Where specifically authorised by management, the employee may prepare and send email responses on behalf of the company to customers, suppliers, or other stakeholders.

  1. Exclusions from Responsibilities

The employee is employed exclusively as a member of the Marketing Department.

The employee’s responsibilities are strictly limited to graphic design, photography, marketing-related creative work, email administration, and the duties described within this Scope of Work.

Under no circumstances shall the employee be required to perform restaurant operational duties.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Serving food or beverages.
  • Taking customer orders.
  • Working as wait staff.
  • Working in the kitchen.
  • Preparing food or drinks.
  • Washing dishes.
  • Cleaning duties related to restaurant operations.
  • Cashiering or payment handling.
  • Front-of-house duties.
  • Back-of-house duties.
  • Any other restaurant operational responsibilities.

The employee shall not be reassigned to restaurant operational roles, regardless of staffing shortages, operational requirements, or business needs.

Any additional duties assigned by management must remain strictly within the scope of the Marketing Department and be reasonably related to graphic design, photography, branding, creative marketing, or the administrative responsibilities outlined in this document.

  1. Reporting Line

The employee shall report directly to the designated Marketing Manager or to any other supervisor appointed by company management.

  1. General Expectations

The employee is expected to:

  • Perform her duties professionally and ethically.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding company information.
  • Meet agreed project deadlines.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and management.
  • Follow the company’s branding guidelines and internal policies.
  • Exercise creativity while maintaining consistency with the company’s marketing objectives.
  • Carry out other reasonable marketing-related tasks assigned by management that are consistent with the nature of this position.

Acknowledgement

This Scope of Work defines the primary responsibilities of the Graphic Designer & Marketing Assistant position. It is intended to provide clarity regarding the employee’s role within the Marketing Department. Any amendments to this Scope of Work shall remain consistent with the employee’s role and responsibilities as a creative marketing professional and shall not extend to restaurant operational duties.
