From our facility in Zeeland, we produce premium yellowtail kingfish while meeting the highest standards in quality and animal welfare.  About the role As a Quality Assurance Supervisor (QAS), you are responsible for safeguarding quality, fish welfare, and compliance across our innovative fish production operations. You oversee processes related to fish health, biosecurity, and quality control throughout the entire production cycle – from hatchery to processing. You play both a strategic and hands-on role, working closely with the Production, Hatchery, and Processing teams. Your goal is to continuously improve processes while ensuring the highest quality standards are consistently met. What will you do? Fish Health & Compliance Ensure compliance with veterinary and fish health standards Lead and coordinate internal and external audits Initiate and follow up on improvement actions (RCA-CAPA) Implement and maintain compliance-related processes Quality Control Perform daily quality checks (farm & processing) Execute the microbiological monitoring program Analyse results and initiate improvements Manage specifications and maintain the Quality Management Fish Welfare Conduct welfare assessments and inspections Monitor fish behaviour, stocking density, and handling practices Identify and escalate abnormalities Promote a proactive fish welfare culture Biosecurity Support development and improvement of biosecurity programs Verify compliance with biosecurity protocols Conduct inspections and support audit readiness Assist in risk and incident management Water Quality Monitor and analyse water quality data Identify trends and deviations Support root cause analyses Collaborate with production and engineering teams Farm Quality Monitoring Perform inspections and audits Monitor KPIs such as growth, health, and mortality Support investigations into deviations Implement corrective and preventive actions [

What do you bring? Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in aquaculture, biology, food quality, or a related field

Experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Management (preferably in food or aquaculture)

Knowledge of microbiology, audits, and quality standards

Strong analytical skills and a proactive mindset

Excellent communication skills and team spirit
