Government Sales & Tenders Specialist to lead the identification, development, and follow-up of government sales opportunities and tenders in Saudi Arabia .

The role will be responsible for proactively monitoring government entities, projects, tenders, procurement opportunities, and approved vendor lists, identifying relevant business opportunities, and converting them into qualified sales opportunities and actual business for the company. The position will also manage vendor registration and qualification activities, coordinate tender requirements internally, maintain accurate opportunity records, and ensure disciplined follow-up throughout the sales and tendering cycle.

Identify and monitor government tenders, projects, procurement opportunities, and potential government accounts relevant to the company's products and services.

Proactively search for new government business opportunities rather than relying only on received RFQs or invitations.

Monitor relevant government procurement platforms, project announcements, vendor lists, and market sources to identify upcoming opportunities.

Build and maintain strong relationships with government entities, procurement departments, contractors, project stakeholders, and relevant decision-makers .

Manage and follow up on vendor registration, prequalification, and supplier onboarding requirements.

Review tender and RFQ documents, assess their relevance and commercial potential, and coordinate required information with the relevant internal departments.

Track the complete opportunity cycle from opportunity identification → qualification → tender/RFQ → quotation → follow-up → purchase order / sales .

Coordinate with Sales, Finance, Factory Operations, and other relevant departments to ensure timely and accurate responses to government opportunities.

Maintain a comprehensive database of government opportunities, including tender details, stakeholders, status, next actions, deadlines, and commercial results.

Follow up consistently with customers, procurement teams, contractors, and other stakeholders to maximize the conversion of opportunities into sales.

Identify missed or lost government opportunities and investigate the reasons behind them to improve future business capture.

Prepare professional business correspondence and follow-up communications in Arabic and English .

Escalate critical commercial issues to management with complete facts, documentation, and recommended actions.

Prepare regular reports on the government sales pipeline, tenders, opportunities, registrations, conversion status, and achieved sales .

3–6 years of relevant experience in Government Sales, Business Development, Tendering, Bid Management, Proposals, Government Procurement, Contracts, or a related commercial function.

Experience dealing with Saudi government entities, government tenders, contractors, or B2G business is highly preferred.

Experience with Etimad or Saudi government procurement processes is a strong advantage.

Strong understanding of tenders, RFQs, RFPs, vendor registration, prequalification, and government purchasing processes.

Strong business development mindset with the ability to discover opportunities proactively and generate sales .

Excellent communication, negotiation, follow-up, and stakeholder-management skills.

Excellent Arabic writing and communication skills with good business English.

Strong Excel, online research, reporting, and data-management skills.

Ability to read and understand tender documents, specifications, commercial requirements, and procurement conditions.

Highly organized, persistent, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple opportunities simultaneously.
