Gender Research Team Lead

SARI Global is expanding its consultant roster for upcoming research and analysis assignments across the Levant and Türkiye.

We are looking for a Senior Gender Research Consultant to lead qualitative and mixed-methods studies on gender, displacement and protection in humanitarian settings.

Engagements are short-term and subject to project confirmation. Selected roster members may be proposed to clients and contracted as assignments are confirmed.

What you'll do

• Lead research design, methodology and analysis

• Develop gender-sensitive, protection-informed data collection tools

• Guide multi-country field teams and quality-assure data

• Author reports and policy and programming recommendations

• Present findings to clients and stakeholders

What you bring

• Postgraduate degree in gender studies, social sciences, migration or a related field

• 7+ years of research experience, including gender analysis and feminist or participatory approaches

• Strong regional experience in Syria and neighbouring countries

• Lead-author experience on 2+ comparable studies

• Qualitative and mixed-methods expertise

• Experience applying GBV-sensitive research ethics

• Fluent Arabic and excellent English writing

Nice to have

• Work with women-led or refugee-led organisations

• Policy and advocacy outputs

• Turkish
