The Opportunity

We're looking for a Finance Systems & Transformation Analyst to join an established financial services organisation that is continuing to develop and improve its finance function.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working at the point where finance and technology meet. You'll bring an understanding of how a finance function operates, alongside an interest in how systems, processes and technology can be used to improve the way a business works.

You'll have the opportunity to contribute to a variety of improvement initiatives, work with stakeholders across the organisation and help shape more efficient, reliable ways of working.

The Role

You'll play an important part in helping the finance function get more from its systems and processes. This will involve a mixture of project work, problem-solving and ongoing improvements, including:

• Exploring how existing finance processes operate and identifying areas where things could be done more effectively.
• Investigating system-related issues and working with colleagues to develop practical solutions.
• Getting involved in finance projects, from understanding business needs and assessing proposed changes through to testing and implementation.
• Looking at how financial information is shared across different applications, helping to identify inconsistencies and improve data quality.
• Partnering with Finance, IT and other business teams to understand challenges and translate them into workable improvements.
• Finding ways to simplify manual activities, reduce duplication and make better use of technology and automation.
• Helping ensure new developments are introduced effectively, with appropriate checks and processes in place.

About You

We're open to backgrounds here. You could already be working in a Finance Systems or Systems Accountant position, or you may be a Financial Accountant or Management Accountant who has developed a strong interest in systems and transformation.

You'll ideally have:

• A good grounding in financial accounting and an understanding of how finance teams operate.
• Experience of being involved in finance systems improvements, projects, upgrades or implementations.
• An appreciation of how financial data is managed and transferred between different systems.
• Exposure to testing, process changes, automation or systems-related problem-solving.
• The confidence to work with a range of stakeholders, including both finance and technical teams.
• A naturally inquisitive approach, with the ability to question existing processes and identify opportunities to improve them.
