In response to our continued growth in EMEA and APAC, we are looking for a Legal Counsel to join our global Legal Team.

What we need you to do and be

As Legal Counsel, you will be a trusted advisor to our EMEA and APAC business teams, supporting a wide range of legal matters in a fast-growing, international software company. This is a hands-on role where you will be in the room when it matters, shaping commercial decisions and helping the business move forward confidently.

You will draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including customer, partner, and vendor contracts

You will provide guidance on regulatory and compliance topics relevant to our SaaS (Software as a Service) business, including privacy, data and AI legislation

You will collaborate closely with colleagues across different business functions to enable smart, practical decision-making

You will report to Legal Director based in Helsinki

What you’ll bring to the table

At least five years of relevant legal experience, either in-house or at a law firm, with exposure to commercial contracting. In-house experience from technology sector is highly desirable

Solid understanding of regulatory and compliance matters relevant to technology / software business, such as privacy, data and AI legislation

Ability to provide pragmatic, business-oriented advice in a fast-paced environment

Strong drafting and negotiation skills, with attention to detail

An enthusiastic adopter of AI technologies. Comfortable with using AI in your everyday work and developing the use of AI tools as a larger organizational strategy

Fluent in written and spoken English

Law degree with strong academic credentials

A qualified solicitor or barrister of good standing in England & Wales. We can consider also an equivalent qualification where relevant

Based in the United Kingdom, preferably close to London

As a bonus, we consider:

Professional working proficiency in other languages relevant to RELEX's key markets, such as French or German

Experience in a SaaS or technology company
