Electrical O&M Engineer / Renewable Energy Engineer

About the company

We are recruiting for Electrical O&M Engineers to join a growing renewable energy business operating across commercial and utility-scale Solar PV and Battery Storage projects. This is an excellent opportunity for newly qualified electricians or experienced renewable energy engineers looking to develop their careers within a rapidly expanding sector.

Your tasks

Working as part of the Operations & Maintenance team, you will support the maintenance, servicing and operation of renewable energy assets across the South West and wider UK.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on Solar PV and Battery Storage systems.
• Support fault finding and electrical repairs.
• Undertake site inspections and performance checks.
• Assist with installation and commissioning activities.
• Complete maintenance reports and documentation.
• Work safely at height on rooftop systems where required.
• Support panel cleaning and general site maintenance activities.
• Travel to customer sites across the region.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety requirements.

Requirements

• Electrical qualification and 18th Edition.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Good problem-solving and fault-finding ability.
• Willingness to learn and develop within renewable energy.
• Comfortable working outdoors and at height.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Desirable

• ECS Gold Card.
• Solar PV or Battery Storage experience.
• O&M background.
• HV experience.
• Inspection & Testing qualifications.
• Previous experience within renewable energy projects.
