CNC Press Brake Technician

Precision Metal Forming Machine Operator Location: Baltimore, MD Job Type: Contract-to-Hire Starting Pay: From $22.00 per hour (higher compensation may be available based on experience) Position Overview We are looking for a Precision Metal Forming Machine Operator to produce high-quality metal components using CNC press brake equipment. This role is responsible for machine setup, part inspection, and ensuring finished products meet blueprint specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with fabrication drawings, precision measuring tools, and CNC metal forming equipment in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Set up, adjust, and operate press brake machines to bend and form metal components.

Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, technical documents, and production work orders.

Select the appropriate tooling, dies, and machine settings for each job.

Measure and inspect completed parts during and after production to verify quality and accuracy.

Use measuring tools to confirm dimensions and tolerances.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following company policies and safety procedures.

Qualifications Minimum 1 year of experience operating press brake equipment.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and standard shop documentation.

Basic math skills and experience using calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and other precision measuring tools.

Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the workday.
