Senior System Admin
Design and implement upgrades, new systems, and software applications to meet changing business needs, in collaboration with other IT professionals and departments.
Manage the organization’s servers, San and NAS storages, operating systems, and applications, ensuring that all systems are up-to-date and secure.
Monitor system performance, identify and debug issues, and implement solutions to ensure optimal performance.
Provide 2nd layer support for the technical support team to resolve hardware and software issues and ensure the efficient operation of IT systems.
Develop and implement backup and recovery procedures to protect critical information during system failure.
Create and maintain documentation on IT systems and procedures to ensure smooth operations and facilitate knowledge sharing among IT staff members.
Handle system security, access, and authorization to protect the organization’s data and systems from unauthorized access.
Train and mentor junior IT staff members to ensure they have the necessary skills to effectively manage IT systems, and to keep up with technological advancements.
A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications (MCSE is a must, CCNA is an advantage)
Expert knowledge of various operating systems such as Windows, Linux, and UNIX.
Strong understanding of virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V.
Strong understanding of networking concepts including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and VPN.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with various stakeholders and team members.
Ability to organize priorities, manage time effectively, and work independently as well as in a team.
Experience managing storage systems such as SAN, NAS, and RAID.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software issues.
Experience with Cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
