My Baby My Way Foundation (MBMW) is a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit headquartered in California, delivering community health, maternal and family wellness, digital-connectivity, and resource-navigation programs to thousands of families across 15+ CA counties. In partnership with FAME Institute, MBMW verifies that participating Community Health Workers (CHWs) meet the qualifications, documentation, and compliance standards required for their services.

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented International Healthcare Claims and CHW Documentation Intern based in Egypt for a fully remote internship. You will receive structured training and supervised experience in the administrative processes that support CHW services in California, focusing on claims preparation, documentation review, data quality, and healthcare-service reconciliation.

The role of Community Health Workers in California; healthcare claims and reimbursement workflows; Medi-Cal and managed-care administrative processes; CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 code structures; claims preparation and QA procedures; documentation and billing compliance; HIPAA-aligned privacy practices; and professional remote collaboration across time zones.

Responsibilities (all work is performed under supervision and reviewed by authorized U.S.-based staff)

Interns do not approve or deny claims, determine medical necessity, select billing codes independently, alter documentation, or contact Medi-Cal members without specific authorization. All work is reviewed by authorized program staff.

This role involves healthcare administrative data and requires strict confidentiality. Before gaining access, interns complete required privacy and security training and sign confidentiality agreements.
