In electric wire spraying, two electrically conductive metal wires are conveyed through a spray gun and an electric arc is drawn between the ends of the wires.

The material melted by this process is subsequently sprayed onto the workpiece using conditioned compressed air to form a coating. With electric wire spraying, coatings can be applied quickly and at low cost.
