Meds.com is a rapidly growing consumer technology firm operating a suite of healthcare businesses, including our flagship brand BlueChew. Our mission is to better patients' lives through innovative healthcare solutions. With a team of 350 professionals across various specialties, we've built scalable pharmacy, telemedicine, and e-commerce platforms using cutting-edge technology. As we continue our accelerated growth trajectory, we're launching new products to expand our patient base and accelerate growth. Join us in tackling exciting challenges at the intersection of healthcare and technology. We are looking for a Maintenance Operations Coordinator to serve as the backbone of our physical pharmacy and laboratory operations. You will be responsible for ensuring that our facility remains in peak condition, our supply chain is uninterrupted, and our clinical environment meets all regulatory standards. This is not a "desk job." You will be the point person for everything from coordinating vendor repairs for specialized lab equipment to managing the high-volume shipping and receiving of pharmaceutical components. If you are a problem-solver who enjoys high-stakes logistics and hands-on facilities management, we want to hear from you. Join our team in Elmhurst, IL - we're looking for someone who truly values and enjoys working in the office, not just tolerates it.

Responsibilities: Facility & Equipment Maintenance

Preventative Maintenance: Schedule and oversee routine maintenance for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and specialized laboratory equipment (e.g., compounding hoods, mixers, and climate-control systems).

Vendor Management: Act as the primary point of contact for external contractors and specialized technicians. Ensure all work is performed safely and without disrupting pharmacy operations.

Emergency Response: Serve as the "first responder" for facility issues (leaks, power glitches, equipment failures) to minimize operational downtime.

Supply Chain & Inventory Control

Inventory Management: Monitor levels of non-medical supplies (packaging, cleaning agents, lab consumables) and place orders to ensure zero stock-outs.

Asset Tracking: Maintain an accurate log of laboratory assets, ensuring all equipment is calibrated and serviced according to state and federal pharmacy boards.

Cost Optimization: Review supply costs and vendor contracts regularly to ensure the facility is operating efficiently.

Shipping, Receiving & Logistics

Inbound Logistics: Manage the secure receipt of raw materials and laboratory supplies. Verify shipments against manifests and ensure proper storage (e.g., cold chain requirements).

Outbound Coordination: Support the high-volume shipping department to ensure daily prescription volume is moved out of the facility and into the carrier network (FedEx/UPS/USPS) on time.

Waste Management: Coordinate the safe and compliant disposal of laboratory and hazardous waste in accordance with OSHA and EPA guidelines.

Experience

Experience: 3+ years in facilities coordination, maintenance management, or operations logistics. Experience in a pharmacy, medical lab, or food manufacturing environment is a massive plus. Technical Savvy: You are comfortable using maintenance software (CMMS), inventory management systems, and the basics of office tech (Slack, Google Workspace). The "Handyman" Edge: While you’ll hire pros for big jobs, you aren't afraid to pick up a tool to fix a loose door handle or troubleshoot a jammed label printer. Regulatory Mindset: You understand that in a pharmacy, "clean" and "organized" aren't just suggestions—they are legal requirements. Physical Ability: Ability to be on your feet most of the day and lift/move up to 50 lbs. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related scientific field. NetSuite experience strongly preferred. Perks 100% company-paid Medical, Dental, Vision premium coverage, plus Short-Term Disability and Life Insurance.401K with company match.Paid time off and company-paid holidaysEnjoy free daily lunch

We are looking for top talent that wants to make a measurable impact in an exciting, fast-paced environment. This role is full-time in Elmhurst, IL.
