We are hiring a Classroom Teacher in our Preschool wing. This exciting, high-energy role focuses on the development and education of preschool-age children from 3 to 6 years of age. This role requires a creative, positive, engaging team player who wants to have lots of fun and work hard with likeminded educators.
What You'll Do As a Pre-K Teacher , you'll lead a preschool classroom focused on kindergarten readiness, social-emotional development, and hands-on learning through play.
Daily responsibilities may include:
Planning and implementing engaging, developmentally appropriate Pre-K curriculum and classroom activities
Creating a structured, nurturing, and welcoming classroom environment that supports children's learning and growth
Leading daily routines including circle time, learning centers, small group activities, outdoor play, meals, and transitions
Supporting children's cognitive, social, emotional, language, and physical development through play-based and teacher-guided learning experiences
Promoting kindergarten readiness by helping children build foundational literacy, math, communication, and problem-solving skills
Encouraging curiosity, creativity, independence, and confidence through meaningful classroom experiences
Observing and documenting children's progress, developmental milestones, and learning outcomes
Building positive relationships with families through regular communication and partnership
Using positive behavior guidance techniques to foster a respectful and supportive classroom community
Maintaining a safe, clean, organized, and engaging learning environment
Collaborating with fellow teachers and center leadership to support classroom quality and overall center success
Ensuring compliance with all Massachusetts EEC regulations, health and safety standards, and center policies
What You'll Need to Succeed Massachusetts EEC Preschool Teacher Certification required
Previous experience working in a preschool, Pre-K, daycare, childcare center, or early childhood education setting preferred
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred
Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices
Experience planning and implementing classroom curriculum and learning activities
Strong classroom management and positive behavior guidance skills
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with children, families, and colleagues
Professional, dependable, and team-oriented approach to teaching
Ability to actively engage with children throughout the day, including sitting on the floor, bending, lifting, and participating in indoor and outdoor activities
