About the company
Lumera for Industrial Technology is a Cairo-based systems integrator and authorized Delta Controls partner, delivering Building Management Systems (BMS), room and building automation, and electrical supply (panels, MCC, cables, breakers).
Your tasks
We are hiring a hands-on BMS Operations Manager, with strong BMS and KNX expertise, to lead our technical office and own project delivery end to end. You will lead and develop a team of 3 engineers, set technical standards, and act as the technical partner to our business development team on bids and submittals.
- Project delivery. Own every project from kickoff to handover: engineering, procurement, installation, commissioning, client acceptance and closeout, on time and within budget.
- Technical leadership. Design BMS and KNX systems, review programming and graphics, and solve escalated technical issues on site.
- Team leadership. Lead, coach and develop the engineers. Build their independence so the team does not depend on any one person.
- Pre-sales support. Support Business Development with system design, BOQs, cost estimates, technical submittals and compliance statements for consultant approvals.
- Procurement and suppliers. Prepare material lists, get quotes and work with the CFO on purchasing.
- Client and consultant technical contact. Lead technical meetings, submittal reviews and commissioning tests.
- Reporting. A weekly written status to the CEO for each project: progress, risks, costs and next steps.
Requirements
Must have
- Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechatronics, communications or mechanical engineering
- 8+ years in BMS and building automation, with at least 3 years leading engineers or projects
- Hands-on BMS programming and commissioning on at least one major platform (Delta Controls strongly preferred; Siemens, Honeywell, Johnson Controls, Schneider, etc.)
- Experienced with KNX design, programming and commissioning (KNX Partner certification preferred)
- Strong knowledge of BACnet (IP and MS/TP) and Modbus, and integration with chillers, AHUs, VFDs, meters, lighting and fire alarm interfaces
- Able to read and produce control drawings, points lists, BOQs and technical submittals
- Experience handing over projects to consultants and clients in Egypt
- Fluent Arabic and good written and spoken English
Nice to have
- Hotel GRMS or room automation experience
- Experience setting up standards or processes in a small team
Other
Location: El Nozha, Cairo, with regular site visits inside and outside Cairo. Reports to: CEO.
