Full Stack Engineer - #1448

Responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining web applications and backend services supporting the COMPASS platform:

• Design, develop, and maintain responsive web applications and use interfaces for COMPASS platform.
• Develop backend services, APIs, and microservices to support business functions and data processing requirements.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and system features.
• Design and implement reusable, maintainable, and scalable software components.
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and external systems.
• Apply frontend engineering best practices, including responsive design, accessibility, performance optimization, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Implement secure coding practices and comply with LTA security requirements.
• Perform code reviews, unit testing, integration testing to ensure software quality and reliability.
• Work closely with UI/UX designers and business users to improve application usability and user experience.
• Participate in Agile development activities including sprint planning, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Support application troubleshooting, defect resolution, and production support activities
• Collaborate effectively with team members to deliver solutions and support knowledge sharing across the project team.

Experience & Skills Needed

• Experience in full stack application development and building enterprise-grade web applications
• Strong proficiency in modern frontend technologies such as: 0 ReactJS, Angular, Vue.js, or equivalent frameworks. 0 HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript.
• Strong proficiency in backend development using: Node.js, Python or Java Spring Boot
• Experience implementing frontend best practices including: o Responsive design o Accessibility o Performance optimization o Component-based architectures o State management
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs, AP integration, and microservices architecture.
• Experience developing and deploying cloud-native applications on AWS, with familiarity in container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL or SQL Server.
• Experience with GitLab source control, CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Understanding of secure coding practices and application security principles
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
