Accountabilities: Lead end-to-end product and program design initiatives, developing desired experiences that balance business objectives with customer needs and research insights.

Apply human-centered design methods throughout the product lifecycle, from vision and discovery through launch, iteration, and optimization.

Advocate for accessible, inclusive, and customer-centered experiences across digital products, platforms, and channels.

Partner with product owners and developers to define functionality, user requirements, design standards, and implementation expectations.

Develop and communicate concepts through workshops, whiteboarding, wireframes, prototypes, user scenarios, flow diagrams, and usability studies.

Lead cross-functional design workshops, sprints, planning sessions, and stakeholder meetings using design-thinking methodologies.

Collaborate with experience research teams to plan and conduct customer and user research that informs design decisions.

Mentor Product Designers and help strengthen design-thinking capabilities across product teams and senior leadership.

Lead, mentor, and potentially manage designers across multiple product areas while contributing to broader product and experience vision.

Identify opportunities to share resources, patterns, practices, and methodologies across teams to create more consistent end-to-end experiences.

Build trusted relationships with cross-functional stakeholders through clear storytelling, influence, and persuasive communication.

Champion the customer perspective at all levels of the organization and confidently challenge assumptions when needed.

Contribute to recruiting and hiring activities and help evolve the team's design practices and methodological toolkit.

Maintain appropriate compliance, operational risk, internal control, and regulatory standards while delivering design initiatives.

Promote a collaborative environment that supports belonging, inclusion, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Industrial Design, or a related discipline, with at least 5 years of relevant experience; alternatively, 9 years of combined education and relevant/product design experience.

Proven expertise in Product Design and Human-Centered Design, with experience managing programs from initial vision through launch and iteration.

Strong knowledge of accessibility standards, cross-platform considerations, mobile interfaces, systems thinking, and industry best practices for web, desktop, and mobile applications.

Demonstrated ability to create use cases, flow diagrams, prototypes, scenarios, wireframes, and other design artifacts for diverse stakeholder groups.

Experience selecting and applying different design-thinking methodologies appropriately throughout product development.

Hands-on experience designing across multiple digital touchpoints and non-digital channels and supporting implementation of those designs.

Strong project and people management capabilities, with the ability to operate effectively as both a strategic project leader and hands-on individual contributor.

Proven ability to mentor and educate others on experience design principles and advocate for customer-centered decision-making.

Extensive experience facilitating remote and in-person workshops using tools such as Miro and Webex.

Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Adobe, Sketch, InVision, Figma, or comparable platforms.

Strong communication, storytelling, influencing, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, clients, and senior stakeholders.

Comfortable navigating ambiguity in a self-directed environment while taking ownership, making decisions, and prioritizing effectively.

Customer-centric, curious, resilient, collaborative, accountable, and continuously focused on improving experiences.

Advanced degree and familiarity with design systems are preferred.

Experience in financial services is a plus.

Benefits:

Annual salary range of $103,000 to $171,600 , with individual compensation determined by location, knowledge, skills, and experience.

Remote-eligible position within the United States.
