Accountabilities: As a Cloud Operations Database Administrator, you will be responsible for supporting database environments, resolving incidents, maintaining service quality, and ensuring efficient communication throughout the support lifecycle.

Handle customer incidents and monitoring alerts by performing initial analysis, troubleshooting issues, and driving resolution within your technical expertise.

Support database environments across cloud platforms and technologies including SQL, PaaS solutions, MongoDB, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and related services.

Perform technical validations, health checks, performance analysis, and troubleshooting activities according to established procedures.

Analyze database issues involving storage structures, tablespaces, fragmentation, throughput, SQL performance, indexing, and query optimization.

Execute backup, restore, disaster recovery, user management, permissions, and database maintenance activities.

Communicate effectively with customers by providing updates, documenting actions, and ensuring proper closure of service requests.

Maintain accurate records of incidents, troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and technical evidence within ITSM platforms.

Follow knowledge bases, operational procedures, and technical documentation while identifying opportunities for improvement.

Support junior database professionals by sharing knowledge and providing technical guidance when needed.

Identify opportunities for automation, AI adoption, process optimization, and operational improvements.

Ensure smooth escalation processes by providing complete context, analysis, and evidence before transferring complex issues.

Collaborate with internal teams to maintain service reliability, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate should have solid experience in database administration, cloud operations, and technical support environments, combined with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Experience in database administration and management within enterprise environments.

Strong knowledge of multiple database technologies including MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.

Experience troubleshooting database incidents, analyzing performance issues, optimizing SQL queries, and managing database structures.

Knowledge of backup, restore, disaster recovery processes, indexing strategies, permissions, and user administration.

Experience with database performance tuning and operational monitoring.

Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or OCI is desirable.

Knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems is desirable.

Experience creating technical reports and operational documentation.

Understanding of cloud database services and modern infrastructure environments.

Relevant certifications in cloud or database technologies are a plus, such as AWS, Azure, OCI, Oracle, MySQL, or SQL certifications.

Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with customers and technical teams.

Proactive mindset with strong ownership, adaptability, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Ability to work under pressure, organize activities efficiently, and collaborate across teams.
