Accountabilities: The Associate Security Analyst will support security monitoring, incident response, and operational improvements while collaborating with technical teams to identify and mitigate risks. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to take ownership of security activities within a 24/7 operations environment.

Monitor, analyze, and interpret security, system, application, and infrastructure logs to identify potential threats, anomalies, and incidents.

Use security platforms, dashboards, and proactive detection methods to identify suspicious activities and security risks.

Monitor cloud environments for security-related events and support investigations when required.

Track cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and security advisories while coordinating appropriate responses and escalations.

Collaborate with application security, product, governance, risk, and compliance teams during active incidents and investigations.

Participate in incident response activities, document findings, and prepare incident summaries.

Follow and improve standard operating procedures, playbooks, knowledge base articles, and security processes.

Manage security-related incidents and requests while ensuring timely resolution and communication.

Support proof-of-concept initiatives for security tools and contribute ideas for improving team capabilities.

Take ownership of assigned shifts, continuously develop technical skills, and contribute to overall security operations excellence.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have foundational cybersecurity experience, strong problem-solving abilities, and the motivation to grow within a modern security operations environment. Candidates should be comfortable working with security technologies, cloud platforms, and industry frameworks while collaborating with global teams.

2+ years of experience working in a 24/7 Security Operations environment, or equivalent academic specialization and practical cybersecurity project experience.

Hands-on experience with SIEM, SOAR, EDR, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, or related security technologies.

Exposure to cloud security platforms and tools such as SentinelOne, Falcon Horizon, Wiz, Sysdig, Prisma Cloud, or Microsoft Defender.

Knowledge of AWS or GCP cloud environments is required.

Understanding of vulnerability assessment processes and cybersecurity risk management principles.

Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, MITRE ATT&CK, OSINT standards, and incident lifecycle practices is preferred.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and logical reasoning skills with the ability to investigate complex security issues.

Positive attitude toward learning, experimentation, and continuous improvement.

Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Ability to work rotational shifts, including weekends, as part of a 24/7 security operations model.
