Accountabilities: Conduct site visits across the United States to evaluate electrical readiness and determine the feasibility of deploying modular GPU-compute infrastructure.

Review electrical one-line diagrams, service capacity, transformer and switchgear ratings, feeder capacity, breaker availability, backup power systems, grounding, and physical site constraints.

Identify required utility upgrades, electrical work, long-lead equipment, permitting requirements, technical risks, estimated costs, and project schedules.

Manage electrical design coordination, contractor bidding, equipment submittals, construction activities, testing, commissioning, and final project handover.

Coordinate with utilities, electrical contractors, engineering consultants, network providers, equipment vendors, and property teams to ensure successful deployment.

Validate fiber routes, carrier availability, building entry requirements, network redundancy, and connectivity activation plans in collaboration with network providers.

Develop standardized site-readiness criteria and prepare concise go/no-go investment assessments for each property.

Collaborate with compute, cooling, controls, and property teams to ensure installations operate safely and reliably without disrupting building operations or negatively affecting residents and tenants.

Maintain accurate as-built drawings, electrical capacity records, commissioning documentation, and vendor performance data.

Establish repeatable technical standards and deployment processes to improve consistency, efficiency, and reliability across the distributed infrastructure portfolio.

Own technical due diligence and deployment execution while working with licensed design professionals and local contractors for engineering design and regulated work.

Monitor project progress, manage field-level technical risks, and ensure installations meet applicable safety, performance, and operational requirements.

Requirements:

4–8 years of professional experience in electrical engineering, electrical construction, commissioning, critical facilities, power generation, industrial infrastructure, data centers, or a related field.

Ability to interpret electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, equipment submittals, and construction documentation.

Practical knowledge of medium- and low-voltage electrical distribution systems, including switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS systems, battery energy storage systems (BESS), protection coordination, and power quality.

Experience coordinating contractors, consultants, project schedules, and technical risks in field-based environments.

Strong understanding of electrical infrastructure readiness, site constraints, and the technical considerations involved in deploying compute equipment.

Ability and willingness to travel frequently to properties throughout the United States.

Strong technical judgment, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex site conditions and make informed recommendations.

Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare technical assessments, project documentation, and investment recommendations.

Ability to collaborate effectively across real estate, utilities, construction, engineering, networking, and technology teams.

A proactive, independent approach to managing field activities and coordinating multiple stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) credential.

Experience deploying or operating data-center infrastructure.

Experience coordinating with utilities on service capacity, electrical upgrades, or power availability.

Background in electrical contracting, project engineering, commissioning, or critical infrastructure deployment.

Role Scope and Work Arrangements:

Remote-first position requiring the employee to reside in the United States.

Frequent travel to properties across the country is an essential part of the role.

The position owns technical due diligence, deployment standards, and execution but does not serve as the engineer of record.

Licensed design professionals and local contractors support regulated engineering and construction activities.

Benefits:

Competitive medical, dental, and vision insurance, with employer contributions toward employee and dependent premiums.

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) for medical expenses, dependent care, and parking.

401(k) plan with a 3% employer contribution, regardless of whether the employee contributes personally.

Fully covered life insurance and short-term disability insurance.

Significant equity opportunities through an employee stock grant program.

Gympass membership benefit, including mental health resources.

Flexible paid time off (PTO).
