Site Engineer - Materials Handling Site Based | Felixstowe Competitive Salary + Benefits The Opportunity We're currently recruiting a Site Engineer to join a growing engineering team, supporting our customers site in Felixstowe This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on engineer who enjoys varied, autonomous work, building relationships with customers while maintaining high-quality service standards. Key Responsibilities Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on materials handling equipment Diagnose faults using electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills Complete accurate service reports, documentation, and parts management Deliver excellent customer service on-site, acting as a company ambassador Identify upsell opportunities and additional work where appropriate Ensure full health & safety compliance at all times About You We're looking for candidates with a strong engineering mindset and practical experience, ideally from one of the following backgrounds: Automotive / Vehicle Technician HGV / Plant / Forklift Engineering Agricultural or Military Engineering You'll also have: Solid mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills Experience working in a field-based or customer-facing role The ability to work independently and manage your own schedule A full UK driving licence What's in It for You Competitive base salary + Benefits Ongoing training and development opportunities Stable, long-term career in a high-demand engineering sector Supportive team environment with strong progression potential Key Skills Fault finding & diagnostics Time management & organisation Customer service & communication Problem-solving Initiative & teamwork
