That is where this opportunity begins. As a Senior General Ledger Accountant, you help build the financial foundation that allows ILIAS to continue growing with confidence. Working across six legal entities, you combine accurate accounting with analytical thinking, collaboration, and continuous improvement to strengthen the finance function behind the business. Meaningful Work in a Mission Driven Environment Every month tells a story. Behind every journal entry, reconciliation, and report are decisions already made and decisions still to come. Your job is to make sure that story is complete, accurate, and reliable. Working alongside experienced colleagues, you'll contribute to month end closings, reporting, audits, and finance projects while gradually broadening your responsibilities. You'll also work with colleagues to understand financial developments, explain variances, and support well informed business decisions. The next, you'll support an audit, improve a finance process, or help validate a system enhancement. Alongside your General Ledger responsibilities, you'll contribute to HFM reporting, ERP developments, NetSuite improvements, and finance initiatives that continue to strengthen the finance function. Your Mission How You Create Value You'll help ensure that finance delivers reliable financial information every month by: Managing General Ledger activities and month end closings across multiple legal entities. Reconciling balance sheet accounts and investigating financial differences. Processing and reporting revenue, operational costs, accruals, and other financial transactions. Supporting statutory reporting, tax reporting, audits, and compliance activities. Contributing to HFM and IFRS reporting. Improving finance processes, reporting quality, and ERP solutions, including NetSuite. Supporting finance projects and providing ad hoc financial analyses. Your Capabilities What You Bring You'll probably recognise yourself in most of the following: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Around 3 years or more of experience in accounting or finance. Experience with General Ledger accounting and month end closings. Knowledge of Belgian GAAP. IFRS exposure is an advantage. Experience working with ERP systems such as NetSuite or similar platforms. Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data. Fluent in Dutch and English. Structured, analytical, curious, and eager to keep learning. Working Across Teams and Functions Good financial decisions rarely start in finance. You'll work closely with colleagues across the organization to understand what sits behind the numbers, validate financial information, and translate business activities into reliable financial reporting.
