Safety first, always. Lead it with us.

Fortica builds and finishes data centres across Norway. As we take on more projects, we are looking for an experienced HSE Advisor. HSE means health, safety and environment. You will build a strong safety culture on our sites and make sure everyone goes home safe every day.

What you will do

  • Make sure Fortica follows Norwegian HSE laws and client requirements on all projects
  • Develop and update our HSE management system, risk assessments and safe work procedures
  • Check that all workers have the right training, certificates and documents to work legally in Norway (for example the HMS card)
  • Plan and run HSE training for workers and site teams
  • Follow up incidents and near misses, find the root cause and make sure they do not happen again
  • Use leading indicators (early warning signs) to prevent accidents before they happen
  • Report on HSE to the COO
  • Be the contact for authorities such as Arbeidstilsynet (the Norwegian Labour Inspection Authority) and NAV, and for clients on HSE matters
  • Support QHSE work (quality, health, safety and environment) and other tasks when needed

Who you are

  • Degree in health and safety, or a related field
  • Proven experience in an HSE role, preferably in construction
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety standards. Knowledge of Norwegian HSE rules is a plus.
  • Excellent English, spoken and written
  • Driving licence class B
  • Good with MS Office
  • Flexible and mobile: willing to travel and work on projects in Norway and abroad

What makes you a good fit

You think critically and solve problems. You pay attention to detail and keep things well organised. You can explain technical rules in simple words, and people listen to you because you build trust.

What we offer

  • A key role where you shape safety on large, modern data centre projects
  • 4 % pension and health insurance
  • Travel, accommodation and meals covered when you work on our projects
  • Laptop, mobile phone and all the work equipment you need
  • Good development opportunities and continuous learning
  • A safe workplace with fair terms and a written employment contract
  • Part of CTS Group, one of Europe's leading data centre design and build groups

You report to: COO Locations: Narvik, Kristiansand and Fyresdal, Norway
