Part Time Credit Controller

Part-Time Credit Controller (30 hours per week)

Salary: £28,000 FTE Location: Barnsley (office based)

We’re recruiting for a reliable and detail-focused Credit Controller to join a supportive finance team on a part-time basis. This is a fully office-based role in Barnsley, ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on finance work, building strong customer relationships, and keeping cash flow running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing and maintaining a sales ledger
• Chasing overdue invoices via phone and email in a professional manner
• Allocating payments and reconciling customer accounts
• Monitoring credit limits and flagging risk accounts
• Producing aged debt reports for management
• Resolving invoice queries with internal teams and customers
• Supporting month-end processes where required

About You:

• Previous experience in credit control or accounts receivable
• Strong communication skills and confident telephone manner
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• Able to manage workload independently and prioritise effectively
• Experience with Excel and accounting systems (e.g. Sage, Xero, or similar)
