Your tasks

• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
• Load and unload goods.
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment.
• Perform brake adjustments.
• Perform emergency roadside repairs.
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle.
• Perform preventive maintenance.
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
• Transport and handle dangerous goods.

Requirements

Education Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses AZ class license. Air Brakes Endorsement.

Documentation knowledge Bill of lading. Driver logbook. Trip reports.

Transportation/travel experience Long-haul. Short-haul.

Security and safety Valid passport. Criminal record check.

Weight handling Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).

Own tools/equipment Cellular phone. Steel-toed safety boots. Safety vest.

Personal suitability Excellent oral communication. Excellent written communication. Flexibility. Judgement. Organized. Reliability. Team player. Hardworking. Patience.
