Job Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and review procurement strategies and processes for a diverse and evolving fleet portfolio — including cranes, Rear-End Loaders (REL), lorries, vans, robotic cleaning systems, IoT-enabled equipment, and other next-generation environmental service technologies — alongside specialized machinery, consumables, and operational services.
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard key suppliers, contractors, and technology/service providers, including emerging vendors in robotics, automation, telematics, and smart fleet/equipment solutions.
  • Conduct regular supplier and technology performance evaluations to ensure quality, reliability, competitive pricing, and timely delivery — including benchmarking new automation and robotics solutions against industry innovation.
  • Lead contract negotiations, review commercial terms, negotiate bulk pricing, and establish long-term framework agreements (including technology licensing, equipment-as-a-service, and maintenance/support contracts) to optimize spend and achieve cost-savings targets.
  • Track, analyze, and report purchasing metrics, inventory turnover, cost savings, supplier performance, and procurement KPIs — including ROI and performance data for new robotics/automation deployments — regularly to management.
  • Partner closely with Fleet, Operations, Engineering, Innovation/Technology, and Finance teams across BNF & BNL Group to align purchasing schedules with operational needs, fleet maintenance, autonomous equipment rollouts, and project timelines.
  • Monitor supply chain risks, oversee inventory control for spare parts, sensors, and operational materials, and establish contingency plans, including for emerging tech dependencies and lead-time-sensitive components.
  • Stay abreast of trends in robotics, autonomous vehicles, and smart environmental service technologies to proactively identify procurement opportunities that enhance operational efficiency and sustainability.

  • Minimum 3–5 years of procurement or supply chain management experience; prior experience in engineering, waste management, fleet operations, or environmental services will be an advantage.
  • Strong negotiation, contract management, and commercial deal-structuring skills with a track record of driving measurable cost savings.
  • Experience working independently to manage end-to-end procurement processes, set own KPIs, establish purchasing workflows, and report metrics to management.
  • Technical familiarity with heavy vehicle parts, industrial equipment, gas handling components, or engineering supplies is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in procurement software, and advanced data reporting (e.g., MS Excel, data dashboards).
