Lead Enterprise Architect

Role purpose: Lead enterprise-wide architecture strategy to align business goals, technology platforms, and delivery teams while improving scalability, security, and operational efficiency.

• Define and maintain enterprise architecture vision, principles, standards, and reference architectures.
• Partner with executives and business stakeholders to translate strategy into target-state roadmaps and investment priorities.
• Guide solution and domain architects to ensure consistent patterns across applications, data, integration, and infrastructure.
• Establish governance for architecture reviews, technology selection, and risk management.
• Drive modernization initiatives (cloud adoption, legacy rationalization, API/microservices, data platforms) and ensure measurable outcomes.
• Ensure alignment with security, privacy, compliance, and resiliency requirements.
• Communicate architecture decisions through clear documentation, models, and executive-ready presentations.

Required skills and experience

• Proven experience leading enterprise architecture in complex, multi-team environments.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, integration patterns, identity/security architecture, and data architecture.
• Expertise in architecture frameworks and modeling (e.g., TOGAF, ArchiMate, UML) and governance practices.
• Ability to create pragmatic roadmaps, influence stakeholders, and resolve cross-domain trade-offs.
