About the Role

At Advanced Space, we're enabling humanity's return to the Moon and building the technologies that will take us to Mars and beyond. We're looking for a Sr. Project Manager with 8–12 years of experience to lead the successful execution of some of the most ambitious space missions in the industry.

In this role, you'll provide programmatic leadership across complex aerospace projects, partnering with engineering, operations, business development, customers, and executive leadership to ensure technical, schedule, cost, and mission objectives are achieved. You'll oversee project execution from proposal through delivery while helping shape the future of lunar exploration, national security missions, and next-generation space technologies.

What You'll Actually Do

Lead complex aerospace programs.

Provide day-to-day leadership for technically challenging projects by balancing cost, schedule, performance, and risk throughout the full project lifecycle. Partner with engineering teams and leadership to ensure successful execution from proposal through delivery.

Drive project execution.

Develop and maintain integrated project schedules, monitor project performance, manage risks, and ensure critical milestones are achieved. Coordinate technical teams, customers, suppliers, and stakeholders to keep projects moving forward.

Manage program strategy and customer relationships.

Build trusted relationships with customers and partners while communicating project status, technical trades, risks, and recommendations. Support successful customer engagements and ensure project objectives remain aligned with mission priorities.

Strengthen project processes.

Develop basis-of-estimate (BOE) documentation, contribute to configuration management strategies, oversee change management activities, and help establish best practices that improve execution across the organization.

Support business growth.

Contribute to proposal development, author technical white papers and position papers, capture lessons learned, and help shape future programs that expand Advanced Space's mission portfolio.

Who Thrives Here

You have 8–12 years of experience leading complex technical or aerospace programs.

You have experience balancing technical performance, cost, schedule, and risk across multiple phases of project execution.

You have a strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and best practices. PMP certification is a plus.

You have experience with aerospace systems development, including spacecraft, ground systems, integration, or testing.

You're proficient in developing and maintaining Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) using tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or similar .

You understand contract management, configuration management, change control, and project governance.

You're familiar with government contracting, FAR-based contracts, or the Defense Acquisition Framework.

You excel at communicating with customers, executive leadership, engineering teams, and government stakeholders.

You're comfortable making decisions in fast-paced environments while keeping both the strategic vision and day-to-day execution in focus.

You take ownership. When you see a challenge, you work with the team to solve it.

Bonus Points if You Have Experience With

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

Defense Acquisition Framework or DoD acquisition programs

FAR-based government contracting

Aerospace integration and test programs

Configuration management for complex technical programs

Proposal development, technical writing, or basis-of-estimate (BOE) creation

Software intellectual property, licensing, or contract deliverables

National security or classified space programs

An active Top Secret security clearance

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $140,000–$178,000 (based on experience, qualifications, and location)
